Case Report # 4 - Ignats (Feline Renal Failure) |
Original Problems: “Owner has noticed severe weight loss, very low energy, vomiting and frequent urination over the last 3 weeks.” Diagnosed with Kidney failure by another vet. Patient is emaciated. Currently receiving Lactated ringers injections subcutaneously daily, Cyproheptadine (appetite stimulant), and Altenagel (phosphate binder).” ETA revealed the presence of 3 viruses (FIP, FIV and FeLV - various organs) + allergy to all. |
General: Chronic renal failure is a common cause of death in older cats and dogs. The condition is frequently accompanied by weight loss which may progress to the point of emaciation. We almost always find that the renal disease is related to viral infection and chemical accumulation. Summary: Ignats was treated by Harmonic Translation for her renal failure with surprisingly rapid good results. Her viruses were eliminated and we were working on chemicals. Unfortunately, Frontline was administered to Ignats, to which she suffered a lethal allergic reaction which involved the remaining portions of her kidney. Blood Report (12/29/03): Blood Report (1/28/2004): |
Case is ongoing. We expect that Ignats will soon begin to divulge which chemicals are present. We presume that continued balancing is required before she will embark of chemical elimination. Elimination of allergies on a regular basis would help us achieve this goal, but owner compliance is lacking. (It should be pointed out that owners also have two other patients receiving therapy and their monthly expenditure on animal treatment is “impressive.”) 1/28/06: (Update) Over the next few months, Ignats returned to her former robust self and was visually “back to normal.” She cleared her chemicals but was still receiving Harmonic Translation for kidney repair. Unfortunately, Ignats’ owners detected a flea on her and treated her with anti-flea chemicals without having them tested. Unfortunately, Ignats had developed an allergy to the flea medication and the allergy affected her right kidney. Evidently, the majority of nephrons that remained to Ignats must have been in the right kidney because, immediately following the flea treatment she sank into depression and died in her sleep before emergency therapy could help her. For the above reason, we are reminded that it is essential to test everything to be administered before application! |

ETA revealed the presence of 3 viruses (FIP, FIV and FeLV - various organs) |
All viruses. |
1/31/04 |
After first HT: “Doing much better. Appetite improved. Blood report shows better results for kidney but slightly worse on RBC and HGB.” |
2 viruses (FIV no longer present). Testing also revealed that the Blood Quality problem is probably due to allergies (Not detected today). Mechanical problems (i.e., arthritic) also detected and addressed. |

“Doing well. Gained a little weight. Red blood count still low but better. Vomits 1 -2 times per week.” |
Single virus (FIP |
Allergies addressed which are probably associated with vomiting. |
4/10/04 |
“Fluids are being given every other day. She must be feeling better because she is obnoxious. Looks good and healthy. Smaller urine output but stills more then other cats.” Frequent sub cutaneous fluid administration is continued by owners even though we have recommended reduction because of patient’s improved appearance and weight gain, glossy coat, etc. Allergies to self are an obvious component of the problem. |
Kidney stone reflexes and “metabolic” kidneys. NO viruses indicated.
|
|
5/15/04 |
“Doing really well. More kittenish.” Very alert. Owners are giving fluids once every 3 days (in spite of our recommendation to vastly decrease frequency). Current weight is 8lbs. – greatly improved. |
Adrenals reflex scans to allergy & chakra imbalance. Metabolic (Kidney, Bladder) reflexes trace to allergy & chakra imbalance. |
|
6/24/04 |
“Ignats is doing so well, sometimes I forgot to give her all the supplements. Giving SQ fluids every 4 days. (In spite of our recommendation to reduce frequency.) She runs around, climbs trees and jumps on fences now.” |
Adrenals reflex due to allergy & chakra imbalance. Metabolic (Kidney, Bladder) reflexes trace to allergy & chakra imbalance. Patient is doing so well, we recommended 60 days before next re-check. |
|
9/2/04 |
Ignats again is doing well. Owner gives sub cutaneous fluids every 4-5 days. No more vomiting! Dr. recommends fluids only every 7 days if needed at all. |
Metabolic (Kidney, Bladder) reflexes trace to allergy & chakra imbalance. Patient is doing so well, we recommended 60 days before next re-check. The adrenal and kidney imbalances seem to have a chemical component, but Ignats will not divulge which chemicals are present. |
Owners do not comply with more frequent allergy checking. |
